5th June 2025 - Guest Speaker - Rebecca Entwistle
Rebecca Entwistle will be visiting Ulverston Photographic Society on Thursday February 5th 2026 to deliver her lecture ‘A Judges Perspective’. The lecture is designed of two halves to give members of the club an insight into how judges approach a competition and how judges are selected. After the break and with the resources Rebecca provides, club members have the opportunity in a light hearted manner to become judges for the evening via the means of a workshop element.
4th June 2025 - Ulverston Photographic Society affiliated to the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU).
For the coming season the society remains as a member of the L&CPU and links through them to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) Members of the club may enter competitions organised by the LCPU, either as individuals or as part of a club entry. The LCPU also organise events which club members may attend - but there may be a charge for that and full details can be found on their website: www.lcpu.org

Alan and Julie Walker will be returning to Ulverston Photographic Society on Thursday December 4th 2025 and will be presenting their latest photography talk titled ‘Yellowstone and Beyond’. Alan and Julie have been good friends to us over the years and we can guarantee from their previous talks that this latest installment will be as entertaining and informative as always.

15th October 2026 - we welcome Alan and Laura Roberts who will deliver a talk titled “My Photography”. At Alan Roberts Photography, we’ve been capturing stunning moments for over 30 years. We’re passionate about creating those unique compositions that truly stand out. We are dedicated to precision and attention to detail, so you can trust us to deliver perfect images every time.
Alan Roberts Photography was founded in 2010 by Alan and Laura Roberts, taking advantage of living in the Westmorland Dales and the Upper Eden Valley, Alan’s roots in traditional darkroom processes have given him a unique perspective, and he’s also honed his digital skills to take his photography to the next level. Laura is the mastermind behind our marketing and management efforts.
4th February 2027 - we welcome Steve Procter who will deliver a talk titled “What Have Camera Clubs Ever Done for Me!”. This is a look back at how camera clubs have shaped and developed my photography over a 15 year period. It covers key learning points, acheivements, lots of images and some AV sections. The talk is delivered slighgtly tongue in cheek and contains many of my best or successful images. I will share my 20 MPAGB prints as part of the talk.
